Lunch and Snack

The session has a relaxed atmosphere, children can practice eating as a group, at the same time as developing good table manners and personal hygiene. Our staff sit with the children and encourage them to eat their ‘savoury’ snack and piece of fruit before moving on to their ‘dessert’. We recommend that the lunch box includes a sandwich/savoury item; a piece of fruit; yoghurt or dessert and a drink.

We would appreciate it if you do not pack any type of sweets and no foods containing nuts or peanut butter due to allergies of some children in the pre-school.

We provide a healthy snack with milk or water for all children and encourage them to develop skills in the preparation and serving of the food and also independence in pouring drinks themselves. Support is given when needed and any allergies/dietary requirements are always considered.

Water is always available for the children during session.

As a charity run pre-school we would appreciate any donations of fruit, carrots, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, raisins, breadsticks, cereal (healthy ones please), rice, pasta, bread, par-baked bread rolls, tins of fruit, corn, tuna or baked beans.

Please keep them coming as they really make a big difference to us. ALL Donations welcome and are very much appreciated.
